Programme Overview

The Virtual Interactive Learning (VIL) arm of XLRI offers a portfolio of 12 months consolidated programs 'Business Management'. The program aims to provide an opportunity to study and earn a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Management (PGCBM) while working. The program is being offered by XLRI in collaboration with its technical partners of virtual classroom.

Programme Objectives & Delivery

• To expose the participants to the various theories and practices of Business Management.
• Enabling them to better understand and envision the dynamics within complex management problems. It also prepares them for visionary leadership, being change agents and playing a role at the top.
• To give the participants a holistic perspective of Business Management so that they can shoulder greater responsibilities in their future career.
• To get tuned to the latest developments and best practices prevalent in the current economy.
• Provide the participants with an opportunity to learn management concepts and techniques relevant for formulating and implementing strategies in functional and general management areas.

The on-line sessions will be delivered on the virtual classroom platform of our technical partners. The heart of the platform is a powerful user interface that enables large number of geographically distributed students to have a highly interactive "one to one" exchange with a central faculty. The system incorporates live broadcast of video, two way audio and data interactivity to enable the students to watch and interact with the faculty live in virtual classroom environment. Conceptual discussions, case discussions and panel discussions will be the primary vehicle of learning on the platform.

Eligibility

• Graduation from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience after completing graduation.
• Performance in personal interviews.
• Basic knowledge of computer.

Admission processes

Once the admission process is open candidates need to apply online with all relevant details as mentioned in the application form along with the application money. The shortlisted candidate will be called for interview & the final selection will be done based on the interview performance.

Fee Structure

The Total course fee is of Rs. 2,40,000/- which can be paid in five installments plus service tax as applicable. The course fee is inclusive of books, study materials and the Campus Component fee of Rs. 35,000/-.

The above stated objectives will be attained through:

1. An intensive program useful from a corporate management view point.
2. 5 days of intensive learning at XLRI campus.
3. Project-based courses.
4. Lecture series.

6. Group work.
7. Assignments.

Campus Visit

The participants are expected to stay in the campus for 5 days of intensive campus learning. The exact date and schedule will be announced to the participants in advance so that they can arrange for their leaves from their respective organizations. During the period of their stay on campus participants need to participate in intensive classroom and group learning sessions. Campus component fees need to pay separately before campus component start.

Certification, Assessment and Evaluation

The examination and evaluation required for certification shall be carried out by XLRI Jamshedpur. The faculty members teaching their respective courses will choose the method of evaluation most appropriate to the material. Students after successful completion of this program will confer with "Postgraduate Certificate in Business Management" directly by XLRI Jamshedpur.

The program aims to provide an opportunity to study and earn a Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (PGCHRM) while working without interrupting their career. The program is being offered by XLRI in collaboration with its technical partners of virtual classroom.

• To give participants an understanding of problems and issues in the field of Human Resource Management.
• Examine the emerging challenges that are transforming the corporate landscape with respect to human resource management.
• To equip participants with the required depth and balance of technical and managerial knowledge that will enable them to function successfully in their chosen field.

The program aims to provide an opportunity to study and earn a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Analytics for Management Decisions (PGCBAMD) while working. The program is being offered by XLRI in collaboration with its technical partners of virtual classroom.

Programme Objectives & Delivery

In line with the requirement of current market, XLRI has decided to launch a new certification programme in its Virtual Interactive Learning (VIL) platform. This portfolio of 12 months consolidated programs offers Post Graduate Certification in Business Analytics for Management Decisions (PGCBAMD). The programmme aims to provide an opportunity to study and earn the certificate while working. Target candidates for this programme are working professionals who wants to build their career in the field of analytics. The program is being offered by XLRI in collaboration with its technical partners of virtual classroom. XLRI, established in 1949, is one of the leading Business Schools in India. XLRI was the first institute in India to launch Virtual Interactive Learning (VIL) programmes back in year 2002. Based on the content, delivery and rigorous learning standards of the programmes, XLRI VIL programmes are obvious choices for many working professional over other leading institutes. Till date, XLRI has got over 6000 alumni base from its VIL programmes. Considering its reputation and service in the academic field, now XLRI is offering Post Graduate Certification in Business Analytics for Management Decision (PGCBAMD), a programme considered as the need of the hour. Through this programme, XLRI aims to create specialists in the business analytics field, who not only will have in depth knowledge in various areas of analytics, but also will be able to provide managerial insights by analyzing the data. Along with the rigorous learning in business analytics tools and techniques, this programme also offers specialization in one of the four areas: a) Analytics in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance, b) Analytics in Retail Marketing and Telecom, c) Analytics in Healthcare and People Analytics, and d) Analytics in Operations and Supply Chain Management. Eligibility

• The candidates should have a full time bachelor degree in engineering/science/commerce or arts.
• Minimum 2 Years of work experience is mandatory. Preferable work experience is 3-10 years.
• Candidates should have a good academic record throughout.
• Candidates must have Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at least in higher secondary level.
